reading 3 4 of her books, I ve fallen hard for Sundari s style of writing a charming love story Why don t these books are made into movies Sundari s book has got that raw element and right emotions and twist of fate in every right decisions of the protagonist which the Indian Bollywood lovers would die for Maybe someday, her books will be made in to su...I had read the earlier e book version and despite that when the author launched its paperback I had to read it The cover of the book is absolutely beautiful and gave me that mushy feel good vibes The blurb reveals just enough Sundari is an author I adore and love thebfact that she tells these sweet romantic story and weaves in a very less talked about social evils that are still present in our country in some parts The plot is simple but the story is weaved well The characters are depicted I had read the earlier e book version and despite that when the author launched its paperback I had to read it The cover of the book is book is The story began with a huge hook, and it had me from the start because it began with something very surprising The plot deals with child marriage so that wasn t easy for me to read about The groom is Veerendraand the bride is Chanda, but he runs away and her family so they feel a great deal of shame Chanda eventually meets Ranvee...Looking for a book that entertains and makes you think, that is a great romance and yet deals with controversies Then The Runaway Bridegroom by Sundari Venkatraman might well be the right choice for you I was given an ARC for an honest review, and I m glad to urge those who haven t read it TMB is my favorite from Sundari s stable The Runaway Bridegroom starts with a child marriage The book is not a sermon on the rights or wrongs of child marriage Instead, one gets a close look at the kind of culture that perpetuates it, and gets a sense of why it still pervades our country Both the bride and the groom even though they are not together, and even after they have grown up and gotten themselves an education continue to respect the religious union, showing how deep rooted the malaise is The author has exploited it to create a sweet romance
