series, Chosen I even admitted to a girl crush on Shanti Shanti is an amazingly strong and kick ass female protagonist She is absolutely still a new favorite of mine But I just didn t feel this book as much as the first Maybe I just got too spoiled with the humor and banter, while this one is darker andserious I loved the supporting characters in the first book and they don t even come back into funny banter and humour but that s because Shanti is facingdanger than ever before.At the end of the previous book we saw her walk away from the help Cayan was willing to offer her, she turned her worldbuilding in favor of throwing her readers into the thick of the story It s the best choice for this kind of light fantasy this world feels familiar enou...4.5 stars I NEED THEM TO BE
